Beyond Work
Away from my desk I’m a dad of two, a problem-solver, and someone who has always been curious about how things can be done better. I love being outdoors, whether that’s heading out for bike rides, walking along the North Wales coast, or spending time on the beach. More recently I’ve been keen to try my hand at kayaking and paddle-boarding. When time allows I enjoy watching Wrexham AFC, whether that’s in the stands or following a match at home.
I’ve always had a genuine passion for the digital world too. Keeping up with the latest in e-commerce and AI is not just part of my work, it is something I genuinely enjoy and dive into whenever I can. Travel also plays its part in keeping me balanced. I love the North Wales coast, but when the winter sets in I’m tempted by a break in the sun. Come March, snowboarding in Europe is a favourite way to recharge.
Something that often surprises people is just how entrepreneurial my background is. Over the past three decades I've set up three successful digital businesses, from dating platforms to international mobile phone unlocking and more recently a Shopify-based drop-shipping venture. Each Founder experience has enriched my knowledge and means I can relate better than most to the challenges of SMEs and e-commerce businesses because I've quite literally walked in their shoes.
